Lloyd George Orwin, 85, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at his home in Westland, Mich.Lloyd was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Somerset, to the late George Ray and Matty Mae Thurman Orwin. He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Nicolai and her husband, Jim, and Mary Orwin; his son, David Orwin; a sister, Katherine Mavis Morris; two grandsons and one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Rose Marye Orwin; and his second wife, Louise Rakestraw Orwin.Lloyd was loved by his many friends and extended families in Mich. and in Somerset. He will be missed by all who knew him.A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m., at the Uht Funeral Home, in Westland, Mich. Funeral services for Lloyd George Orwin will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Wayne, Mich., at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008.
