Lori Centner Paladino
Lori Centner Paladino, age 54, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 after a courageous 21-month battle with cancer. Her final hours were spent as most of her life was spent, surrounded by her beloved family.
Lori was born on Oct. 21, 1963, to Dolores and Richard Centner of Norwalk. She is survived by her children, Kaylee, Jason and Christopher Paladino, all of New Canaan; her loving sister Karen Tomlinson and nephews, Trevor, Spencer and Patrick Tomlinson, all of Norwalk; and her dear husband, Joseph Paladino.
Lori will always be remembered for her dedication for teaching children in the Norwalk area, most recently as the religious education coordinator for St. Matthews Parish in Norwalk. Saint Matthews was like a second home to Lori, and her love for her parish family was second only to her devotion for her own immediate family.
Besides caring for her family, Lori chose to give so much of her time to making the community a better place for everyone. She set a new standard for battling a horrible disease, facing it with unflinching strength, courage and humility. Though she had to say goodbye to her loved ones far too soon, her beautiful smile and effortless kindness will never fade from their memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Matthews Church in Norwalk so that they may continue their good work around the community that Lori loved so dearly. In addition, please consider donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 28, from 2–6 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, Connecticut. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Matthews Church. For directions or to leave online condolences, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com.
