Lori Kay Weber, 53, Lodi, CA, passed away at Vienna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lodi, CA on March 15, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Lodi Funeral Home in Lodi, CA. Visitation for extended family and the public will be on Tuesday, March 17, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 18 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Immediately following the funeral service, Lori will be laid to rest at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, CA. A luncheon will be served at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Lodi, CA, following the graveside service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lori's life.
Lori was born on August 30, 1961, to Bernard Shannon and Shirlene (Hoffman) Shannon in Leola, SD. Lori lived in Leola until 1969, when her family moved to Lodi, CA. Lori graduated from Lodi High School in 1979, and then from the Delta College Nursing Program with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1983. In 1982, Lori married Steve Weber, and they made Lodi their home. Lori and Steve had three children - Stephanie, Tiffany and Brittany.
Lori had a rewarding 26 year career as a registered nurse. She served as the Director of Nurses at Arbor, Delta, and Vienna Convalescent Hospitals. Her last position was at St. Joseph's Medical Center in the Skilled Nursing Department. Lori was a caring, fair, and compassionate individual who was loved and respected by those that worked alongside her. Her lifelong passion was caring for the elderly. Lori had to end her nursing career due to a brain tumor removed almost six years ago.
Lori was a loving wife and mother. She had a deep faith in God that gave her the strength she needed to overcome life-changing obstacles. Lori, herself, was a miracle, a daily testament of faith and the grace of God. Lori enjoyed spending time with her family, going shopping with her girls, and watching movies at home. Lori loved flowers, drawing and baking.
Lori is survived by her husband, Steve; three daughters, Stephanie , Tiffany and Brittany Weber, Lodi, CA; her father, Bernard Shannon, Steele, ND; two sisters, Geri (Gary) Aichele, Steele, ND, and Marji Shannon, Chicago, IL; a niece and nephew, Jennifer and Matthew Aichele, Steele, ND; and her mother-in-law, Wilma Weber, Lodi, CA.
Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Shirlene Shannon, and father-in-law, Raymond Weber.
Lori will be dearly missed and be remembered for her generous and caring nature. She has now joined our Lord, whole in body and spirit once again, to rest for eternity. A register book may be signed at http://www.lodifuneralhome.com where memories can be shared.

I was saddened to learn of Lori's passing. Even after so many years I remember her smile, that smile used to light up any room that she entered. She made an indelible impression in my memory, I only wish we had stayed in touch. My thoughts and prayers to her family as they mourn her loss.
