Lori Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 9, 2025.
As much as Lori Ann Williams was hoping to make it to 61, she passed away peacefully a week before her birthday, at the West Bloomfield Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan, with Ashley, Brian, Samira, and Jackie at her bedside.

The bright sun was shining on her, and she had a lovely view of the frozen pond with a family of swans, ducks, geese, and even a cardinal that visited at noon. She remained coherent to say her goodbyes and I love you's before she passed. Throughout 2024, Lori had fought the rejection of her third kidney transplant that had gifted her an incredible fifteen years to love life to the fullest.

Lori, the youngest of five children in a military family, was born to Charles and Carol Williams on December 14, 1963 in Oscoda, Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Sough, and by her siblings Patrick "PJ" Williams of Colorado, Mary Sheffield of Texas, and Kelley Williams of Nebraska. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles "Charlie" Williams of Nebraska.

She was a caring mother and made friends everywhere she went, humans and animals alike. Together with Hyung Sough, they raised their only child, Ashley, in Kensington, Maryland. They parted ways in 2014, after which time Lori moved around the US, finally settling in Riverview, Florida.

She loved traveling, having lived in and visited countless places over her lifetime. Among the various places (Germany, Turkey, Greece, Korea, Turks and Caicos Islands to name a few), Hawaii was always her favorite. She loved its peaceful waves and music, beautiful hibiscus flowers, and relaxed atmosphere. But more than anything, Lori loved her family, her friends, and her many pets.

In lieu of gifts, we kindly ask that you make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in her memory.
