Lorin A. Schumacker, 74, being confined to a wheel chair since 2010 with spinal mylopathy and many other health issues "Curly" walked to meet our Lord on April 23, 2015. He was born on May 21, 1940 to Arthur and Emmeline (Kruthoff) Schumacker. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from August 16, 1957 to May 19, 1961. He loved trapping, fishing, hunting and just doing things his way but most of all he loved spending time with this family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, two sons; Glen Schumacker, Edgar, Steve (Angie) Schumacker, Edgar, one daughter; Laurie (Andy) Pagel Merrill, three sisters; Janet Roberts, Wausau, Diane Zuelke, Wausau, Linda Habeck, Corvallis, Montana, two step- sons; Shane (Amy) Schilling, Wausau, Travis (Katina)Schilling, Marathon, one step- daughter; Lisa (Al) Wichlacz, Marathon, one brother in law; Glenn Rusch, Wausau, five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great step- grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Emmeline and one brother Gerald Schumacher and one sister Carolee Rusch.

A celebration of life service will be on April 30, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church on Hwy N, Edgar from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. visitation with service to follow at 4 with Rev. Gail Sowell officiating.
