Lorna Watson

Fredonia, AZ - On Tuesday, May 11th 2021, Lorna Fay Kester Watson was reunited with two of her children in heaven. Lorna was born in Kanab, Utah in December of 1956. She moved away to New Mexico where she attended and graduated from Cloudcroft High School lettering in drill team and basketball. While in high school Lorna met Danny who became the love of her life. Every summer Lorna would come back to the small red rock town which she loved so much, to live with her grandmother and get into trouble with her cousins.

Lorna became a proud army wife after getting married to her High School sweetheart & together they traveled to Europe, Hawaii and all around the US while raising their three children. She and her family ended up settling in Tucson, Arizona.

Lorna enjoyed watching her children play soccer and traveling to tournaments throughout the southwest, she became the ultimate soccer mom with all 3 of her children playing. Lorna loved being a Mom. She was a Den Mother for her son's Boy Scout Troops. Lorna was a skilled seamstress and made fun and detailed Halloween costumes every year.

In 1993 Lorna was thrilled to move back to her hometown of Kanab. She enjoy attending all the high school home games and she especially enjoyed filling her Suburban with friends to travel to away games.

Lorna became the Clerk of the Kanab City Court, a job she truly loved. After the court consolidated she became the Office Manager for the Kanab City Police Department. Lorna worked for the city of Kanab for over 25 years and was looking forward to retiring. While Lorna enjoyed her work, her true calling was as a grandmother. Lorna was "Grandma Lorna" to everyone's kids. She loved having "Camp Grandma" when her grandchildren came to visit.

When Lorna and Dan became empty nesters, they began traveling. Whether in their fifth wheel trailer or on a cruise ship, they enjoyed doing everything together. They were and will always be best friends.

Lorna was proceeded in death by her dad John Turner, her father Trealor "Bud" Kester, her daughter Cassandra Fairbourn & her son John Watson.

Lorna is survived by her mother Marlene Turner; her husband Dan Watson; her son Jason Watson (Jamie Prem); her son-in-law Chris Fairbourn; her brother Mitch Kester; her sister Leslie (Michael) Syme; & her grandchildren Courtney and Kylee Fairbourn, Wayland and Wyatt Latham & Aria Prem.

Lorna - you are sorely missed and loved by all who knew you. It was a pleasure going to high school with you and seeing you at subsequent reunions, always smiling and friendly with your amazing sky blue eyes twinkling. May God bless you and your family and keep you in His warm embrace. You made this world a better place, my friend.
