Lorraine Claire Coates

Lorraine Sabathe Coates, passed away at her residence, she was 87 years old. Daughter of the late Paul Sabathe, Sr. and Mary V. O'Leary. Wife of the late John Clarence Coates, Sr. Sister of the late John Sabathe, Sr., Paul Sabathe, Sr. and Emelda Mistich. She is survived by seven children; Joann Anderson Gray (Dan), John Coates, Jr., Wayne Coates, Sr. (Noama), Frank Coates (Linda), Gary Coates, Sr. (Shelia), Glenn Coates and Lorraine "Cookie" Mullinax . She is survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She has been a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence for 53 years. She worked at McKenzie's Bakery for over 20 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Thursday December 31, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and on Thursday from 9:00am until time of service.
