Lorraine P. Dahlstrom

Lorraine Patricia Dahlstrom born a lifetime Cubs fan on October 19th 1939. She died on Monday June 5, 2017. She was born in Sterling, IL the daughter of Albert and Emma (Lennman) Melville. Lorraine was very active in the Girl Scouts and an avid Rocket Booster being Alumni herself, also a member of the Rock Falls Firefighters Lady Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time on the Rock River with her family. She traveled to see other family every year in Louisiana, Texas, and Arizona. Every week she enjoyed meeting her Wal-mart girls for breakfast and lunch. She spent hours in her sewing room working on projects for family and friends. She never missed a minute of a Cubs baseball game. And spent time watching the neighborhood kids Brody and Braxton sports year round. Survived by her husband Reggie after being married 58 years; their daughter, Cindy (Tom) McNitt of Slidell La; their Son Curt (Patty) of Chadwick IL.; her sister Diane (Monte) McCord of AZ; her Sister in law Kit Gray of Rock Falls; her Grandchildren: Kelsey Prather, Brianne (Scot) DuBussion, Brady McNitt, Meara McNitt, Dustin (Sarah) Dahlstrom, Nathan Dahlstrom, Jaden (Benjamin) Higley, Tony and Michelle Grevengoed; her nephews: Ryan McCord and Mike Gray; her niece Erin McCord. She also has 6 great grandchildren, with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Greg Thomas Dahlstrom; and her brother Wayne Melviile. A memorial has been set up to donate to the Dixon Rural Fire Department Charitable Association. The family would like to put out a special thanks to CGH EMS and Rock Falls Fire Department. A gathering of friends and family will take place on Monday June 12, 2017 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the memorial service at 1 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls with the reverend Brian Tribley, pastor of the Fire House Church of God Ministries officiating.
