Lorraine A. (Friel) Boyle

94 years of age and former resident of Whitehall and Country Meadows in Allentown, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning August 7, 2025 while a guest at Brookdale Assisted Living in Dublin, Pennsylvania. She was the widow of Connell F. Boyle for 50 years at the time of his passing in 2002.

Born in East Mauch Chunk, Lorraine was a daughter of the late Hugh E. and Bertha M. (Albeck) Friel. A graduate of Mauch Chunk Catholic High School, she was a Telephone Operator most of her life for Bell Telephone and the United States Government.

Lorraine was a dedicated member of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Whitehall, and it's former Golden Agers.

She is survived by daughter Maureen Corcoran with her husband Charles T. of Perkasie; son Connell H. Boyle of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Katie, Connell, Maureen, Matthew, Bridget and James, along with 13 great grandchildren; brother James J. Friel with his wife Susan of Whitehall; sisters Patricia Heaney of Jim Thorpe, and Rosemarie Svetik with husband Joseph of Chalfont; predeceased by daughter in law Eileen Boyle, along with sister Jean Friel, brother Thomas H. "Mike" Friel and brother in law Al Heaney.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Robert J. Potts on Thursday August 14, 2025 at 10:00 am in Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church 618 Fullerton Ave. Whitehall, PA 18052, where her family will receive guests beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.

For those who wish to honor Lorraine with a memorial contribution, her family suggests a donation to Catholic Charities - Diocese of Allentown 402 West Chew Street, Allentown, PA 18102
