Lou Verne Sullivan, 57, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at MCV in Richmond. She was a native of Spotsylvania County and the daughter of the late Timothy and Edna Haynes.Mrs. Sullivan worked for several years as a special education aide at Walker Grant Middle School and then later worked for Rappahannock Goodwill at the FBI Academy at Quantico.Survivors include her husband, Danny K. Sullivan; a son, Frank Sullivan and his wife, Autumn of Glen Allen; a daughter, Deena Sullivan-Nelms and her husband, Mike of Hartwood; two brothers, James E. Haynes of Stafford County and George T. Haynes of Maryland; a sister, Gail Arrington of Spotsylvania County; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Beasley.A funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 20 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel with the Rev. James H. Bethany officiating. Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 19 at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave, Locust Grove, VA 22508.
