LOUANNA MARTIN Obituary

Louanna Marie Martin, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:16 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Union Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute, on June 7, 1932, to Fred M. Pruner and Bessie Williams Pruner. Louanna was a homemaker and member of the Vigo County Home Economics Club, and a member of Oregon Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, Larry D. Martin (and companion Linda M. Hall); and daughters, Barbara Bach (and husband Leo), Beverly Cronk (and husband Mark), and Becky Smith. Other survivors include her brother, Leason Pruner; sisters, Elizabeth Wilson and Freda Miller (and husband Dean); a sister-in-law, Imogene Martin; a brother-in-law, Norman Martin; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and extended family, the Correll Clan.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Martin; and a sister, Madonna McKee.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Wednesday. Online condolences may be left at:

Louann was a wonderful and sweet lady. My wife Pat and I spent some great times with her and Ralph at Anna Marie Island in Florida and at meetings and parties in Indiana. I am retired from Kirby Risk and worked with Ralph for many years. What a great couple!
