Louie DeFRANCESCO Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at age 69. Louie, beloved husband of Carmela for 49 years. Loving Dad of Andrew (Cathy) and Andrea (Michael). Proud Nonno of Devlin, Lachlan, Ava and Summer Coco. Cherished brother of Joe (Iris), the late Carmela and uncle of Anna Rossi. Louie was a vibrant Nonno travelling the world following his grandsons' (Devlin and Lachlan) racing careers. He enjoyed the track-side barbecues and was glowing as his grandsons racked-up the trophies in Canada, U.S., and Europe. When he was not at the track, he loved to be in the kitchen preparing his granddaughter's favourite meals and relaxing at night with his favourite cigars. Louie will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends in Toronto and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A graveside service and final rite of committal and interment will take place on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill). Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Cardiac Unit) would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and directions may be found at www.catholic-cemeteries.com

Andy I was lucky to meet your father. We talked at the track about children and racing. He was so smart and very kind.

I will forever miss our shopping trips to Buffalo where Lui loved to banter with his beloved Andrea.
I will miss hearing Lui say, "hi honey" every time he'd see me.
I am saddened by this loss but know that we have another Angel watching over us....
