Louie Walter Higgins

Louie Walter Higgins, age 75, of Traphill, NC passed away on April 15, 2012 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Higgins was born in Wilkes County on August 10, 1936 to the late Howard and Tressie Crouse Higgins. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Higgins. Mr. Higgins is survived by his loving wife, Betty Absher Higgins of the home; children, Yvonne Klein & husband Frank of Roswell GA, Louie Dale Higgins of Mt. Joy, PA, Shelby Webster & husband Jack of Millersville MD, Randy Higgins & wife Freda of Reedville, VA, Melissa Countess & husband James of Parkton MD; brothers, James Higgins & wife Frances of Dobson, NC, Lloyd Higgins & wife Judy of Cana, VA, Lonnie Higgins & wife Debbie of Thurmond, NC; sisters, Georgia Debord & husband Booker of Sparta, NC, Hazel Wood & husband Dean of Dobson, NC; eight grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt.
