Louis Joseph Pansky Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 23, 2025.
One of Sun City's original residents, Louis Joseph Pansky (Lou) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on his 93rd birthday, May 22, 2025. Lou lived in Lincoln after leaving his long-time home in Novato, with his wife, Enid, who passed in 2012.

Lou was an active bowler, card player, and loved singing show tunes and never met a cup of coffee he didn't like. He made friends everywhere he went and was proud to share that he looked like he was in his 70s.

Lou and his wife were Tupperware distributors, founders of Cameo Party Sales in Vallejo, CA. They were recognized as industry pioneers and received the organization's highest honor, the Ad Astra Award. Prior to Tupperware, Lou worked for the Western Consortium for Continuing Education as an Education Associate. He traveled the country developing educational presentations on alcohol and drug prevention. Pansky also worked with the Los Angeles City and County Public Health Department's Alcoholism Clinic and the Cincinnati Board of Health as a Director of its Alcohol Information Center.

Lou graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in science and education with a minor in Physical Education in 1955 and transferred to the University of Michigan to receive a master's degree in public health in 1957. He continued his education at the Yale School of Alcohol Studies and finished his education at the University of Washington as a Pre- Doctoral Candidate in Social and Cultural Anthropology.

Lou is survived by his son, Scott Pansky (Yovita), their children, Samantha, Rebecca and Jessica-Belle, his daughter Alicia Tonelli and her family, Jordanna Elliott (Tommy), great granddaughter, Taliah Elliott and grandson, David Tonelli.
