Louis Koehler Obituary
Born on November 27, 1930, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Louis was the son of Reverend Louis H. Koehler and Clara Baden Koehler. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and Jesus was the center of all he did.
Over the course of his long and meaningful life, Doc built a legacy rooted in devotion to faith and family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Stella Karp Koehler, and his second wife, Geraldine Hittenberger. He also mourned the loss of his siblings: brother Ted Koehler (Delores), sister Ruth Dede (Al), and sister Dorothy Koehler.
He is lovingly remembered by his four daughters: Deborah Bjorkly (husband Svein), Denise Jarema-Goff (husband Dennis), Darcel Butzu (husband Mark), and Dianne Tas, and his cherished sweetheart, Gladys Israels. His legacy continues through ten grandchildren-Harry Lee Gruits (Jennifer), Andrew Gruits (Courtney), Jay Gruits, Katherine Foster (Gregg), Mark Butzu, Madison O'Brien (Michael), Ashley Tas, Tracy Gosau (Phillip), TJ Jarema, and Angel Jarema-and thirteen great-grandchildren who carry forward his memory.
A man of deep conviction and enduring love for his family, Louis lived a life that reflected his unwavering faith. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire generations to come. A Memorial Service will be held on August 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church 5555 N Federal Highway

I have such great memories of spending the night at your house in Detroit. Your mom and dad were always so welcoming to me. Your dad helped my parents out with plumbing so many times. Our Mt. Calvary days were so great! My love and prayers for peace and comfort go out to all of you girls

So Sorry for your loss!!! Often, while riding my bike past his house on 3 Mile in Grosse Pointe Park I would see him riding his mower or working in the yard!! Sending prayers to the family
