Dear Pam, You probably don't know me, But I am a Class 52E classmate of Lou. I am a retired AF colonel. We have been in touch my email for many years, although I haven't seen him since we were at Bryan in 1952. We had a great deal in common and were "brothers". I have noticed recently the he stopped writing, and I wrote him and asked if he was okay. I knew of his cancer. I have included him in my morning prayers for the past few months. I have lost one of my best lifelong friends.

Sincerely, Ed Stellini

Dear Spasiano Family,
I have many fond memories of palling around with the Spasiano clan in my youth and early adult years. On more than one occasion, I remember doing some illicit activity that would send poor Lou over the edge.
In spite of all the trouble us kids would manage to get into, not to mention the physical messes we physically created, Jan and Lou always welcomed me into their home. with warm smiles and sincerity.
To me, Jan and Lou were model parents. They had high expectations and taught their boys the value of honest hard work. They allowed them the freedom to learn from their own mistakes, and the opportunity to explore the world and travel on a buddy pass.! Boy, was I jealous of that TWA Buddy pass! haha

In this time of reflection, I would like to share this one truth of which I am certain. It is that life itself is eternal and does not end at death. Lou's presence is just a memory away. And one day, when we to pass from this life, we will have the opportunity to be united as a family once again.
May you all be comforted and cherish the memories of a great father, husband, grandfather, and friend. Cherish the memories of a great man!
God Bless you all!

Dear Spasiano family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Lou was a terrific person! Always had time for conversation , and he was truly a generous man and well respected aviator. Morrie and I were grateful to have known him. We shared that very special gift of pride in marriage and family. And, in raising three sons. Lou will be missed. We send our heartfelt condolences to you all.

I always addressed Lou as Captain Spasiano as he earned that respect. Captain Spasiano and his wife raised a great family. His family is his greatest legacy. Great men like Captain Spasiano leave the world a better place than they found it. He will be missed.
With admiration and respect,
Robert
