I worked for Louise for about a year. I choose to remember the good times of our long conversations over a cup of coffee at the kitchen table. One of the first questions she asked in my interview was, "Do you know how to play pool?" That was the beginning of many fun hours spent teaching her how to play pool. She became quite adept at the game, in spite of visual and physical handicaps. For a couple of hours she seemed to be able to forget both. The laughter was good for us. She was a rare character and, as she often said, it would have been nice to know one another in earlier times before life began slowing her steps. She was a force to be reckoned with. I wish her the peace that she couldn't quite grasp while on this earth.

To David, Debra Robertson Coleman, and Austin Coleman, and Mary Jane and Jonny Altizer, and Jeremiah and Matt Schock, and Wilbert Robertson: May the memmories you have of times shared with Louise cause joy to outweigh sadness, and may the love of friends lift you up when you feel sorrowful. I love you all, Milli Layman

Knowing Louise was a gift. She was so interesting and intelligent, as well as wise and witty. She would always give an honest opinion and good advice. I admired her charitable spirit and the joy it gave her to help those less fortunate, including animals. We learned from her. My husband David, and children, Lauren, and David, were enriched by her life and example.

Words are not coming so freely right now, but they will, and I will post again, but know I will miss you and our viists, your wit, hospitality, but I know you were so ready to go. We the family just want to honor you these next few days. I hope you know we are doing our best here for you. I will honor you one last time with a song, I hope you will hear it. Love, Debra, David and Austin
