What a wonderful friend Mrs. Lucy was to me and my family. She was a great role model for me and so many others. She inspired me and influenced my life through our Church family and personally. It has been 26 years since I covered sports for the Avon Park Sun, where I met many wonderful people. Lucy certainly ranks at the top of that list. I could always count on her for words of encouragement, inside knowledge about what was going on, good humor and an occasional Snickers bar. Her influence is far-reaching. I wish her family and friends the best at this difficult time.
