Luis Escobar Jr.

Luis Escobar Jr., age 38, passed away August 3, 2018. He was born April 17, 1980 in San Diego, Texas to Luis Valle Escobar and Viola Trevino Escobar. You would often find Luis barbecuing and being the ""life of the party"". He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. He later opened up a business together with his wife, named Margie's Restaurant, where he helped cook and manage. He will forever be remembered for his compassionate and loving character, always willing to help others, and his unconditional love for the light of his life, his only grandchild, Cruz Escobar. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by a child, Baby Escobar; his parents, Luis and Viola Escobar; and his grandparents, Daniel and Viola Trevino.

He is survived by his spouse, Margie Torres Escobar of Alice; children, Cruz Escobar, Angel Escobar both of Cedalia, Missouri, Luis Angel Escobar, Nicholas Escobar of Alamo, Texas, Jesse Robert Cavazos, Rianna Trevino, and a niece raised as his own daughter, Brandi Herrera all of Alice; brother, Daniel Escobar (Jackie) of McAllen, Texas; sisters, Brenda Escobar of McAllen, Texas and Kelley Escobar (Marina Silva Escobar) of Alice, Texas; one grandson, Cruz Escobar; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 13, 2018, from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home in Alice with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula in San Diego. Services to conclude after the mass.

Pallbearers will be Kelley Escobar, Richard Torres III, Abel Trevino, Brian Arredondo, L.A. Escobar, Nicolas Escobar, Israel Ortiz, Tony Ramirez and J.J. Lucio.
