Luz Ochoa Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 26, 2025.
Luz Janet Ochoa passed away on July 28, 2025, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 62. Born on March 23, 1963, in Bogotá, she brought warmth and compassion to those around her throughout her life.

Janet was deeply spiritual and held a strong devotion to St. Jude’s, Saint Michael the Archangel, and the Divine Child Jesus. Her faith was a guiding light that shaped her outlook and gave her strength through life's challenges.

She will be remembered for her generous heart and unwavering kindness. Janet had an extraordinary ability to offer help without hesitation and to accept others without judgment. Despite facing ongoing medical issues, she met each day with a smile that uplifted those around her.

Janet is survived by her sister, Monica N. Ochoa. She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Armando Ochoa, and her mother, Maria Fanny Ochoa.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her spirit continue to inspire compassion and resilience in others.

I may not have known Janet for a long time but the times I was able to be around her and talk to her, she was always vibrant and a ray of sunshine. May she RIP in heaven above with my mother and father. She will be missed.
