Lynda Deutsch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 8, 2017.
Lynda Louise (Beadle) Deutsch of New Hope left this world peacefully surrounded by those she loved most on July 8, 2017. She was 66. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Elizabeth Louise (Armstrong) Beadle and grandmother Bessie Vernon (Hensil) Beadle. She is survived by her loving husband Harry to whom she was married for 46 wonderful years; sons Brian Armstrong, married to Jennifer (Lees) of State College and Bradley Alexander of New Hope who, in her own words, were her greatest accomplishments; and granddaughter Delaney who was Nanni Lyn's "Princess." In addition to her immediate family, Lynda leaves behind many friends and relatives including lifelong friend Joan "Flo" (Fowler) Buschman who she considered a sister. Ever optimistic, Lynda lived each and every day to the fullest and did not take a single moment for granted. She was a beacon of strength and the definition of positivity. She believed that "attitude was the key to well-being" and that one should live a life of "laughter and love." She celebrated every occasion, large or small, with effervescence and her mere presence elevated each event with her humor, sparkling energy, and quick wit. She loved trips to the Poconos, crazy hats at Christmas, dining out with friends and a good bottle of wine, Penn State football and wrestling, and her flower gardens. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established in Lynda's memory for a memorial bench and plaque at the Arboretum at Penn State, a place close to her heart. Donations in Lynda's name can be mailed to Penn State University, 320 Forest Resources Building, University Park, PA 16802. Family and friends are invited to Lynda's Life Celebration, from 10am to 12 noon, with a Memorial Service to follow at 12 noon, on Thursday, July 13 at Leaver/Cable of Buckingham, Rte 202 & Quarry Rd. Interment will be private. To share your fondest memories of Lynda, please visit www.lifecelebration.com

My eyes welled when I checked "friend" in the drop down choices of "choose a relationship". Any friend of Lynda's truly knows what an honor and blessing it was to be considered a friend by Lynda. She was one in a million: funny, tough, smart, inspirational in ways she would never know, humble....and an enormous capacity for caring.

Lynda, a/k/a Beadle was the best BFF a girl could ever have. Definitely my sister, not just my friend. My parents "adopted" her as their daughter #3 back when we were in high school. She inspired me and amazed me with her never give in/never surrender attitude. Up until the very end I thought that she would be the one in a million to overcome cancer, even though I knew there was no cure. I will never stop loving her and missing her. She was truly one of a kind, the very best. Loving thoughts and prayers for Harry, Brad, Brian & Jen and sweet Miss Wiggles Delaney.

Lynda was the best and I'm happy that I'll always remember her smiling. The only time I ever saw her worried was when she was worried about having enough champagne...but then she remembered she had a stash in the basement :-)

I spent many early morning sessions at the gym with Lynda. She is one of the strongest people I have known - an amazing athlete, who faced her diagnosis head on with grace and a great sense of humor. She will continue to inspire me!
