Lynne Barry Giordano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 9, 2025.
With profound sadness and love beyond measure, we announce the passing of Lynne Barry Giordano on March 6, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Fargo, ND on December 5, 1944, Lynne graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1963 and attended North Dakota State University (NDSU).

Lynne was known for her boundless warmth and lively spirit. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel truly special and was a phenomenal hostess. Her generosity knew no bounds and her love was all-encompassing. She had a natural ability to connect and make others feel welcome, and she was a source of strength and support as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend.

Recognized for her creative flair and defiance of convention, Lynne lived life with a unique style that was all her own. Her vibrant personality and joyful spirit were unmatched, and she never failed to make an impression wherever she went. She was a lover of music (the louder the better!) and traveling around the world. A "lake girl" at heart, Lynne's adventurous soul found its home both on Pelican Lake, MN, and over the last decade, in Naples, FL. Additionally, she called the Twin Cities, Connecticut and London home at different points in her life.

A celebration of her life will be held summer 2025 at Pelican Lake, MN, a place dear to her heart. Date to be determined and announced on Facebook (www.facebook.com/lynne.b.giordano)

The family extends their gratitude to the remarkable team of nurses, therapists and doctors at the Mayo Clinic ICU in Phoenix, AZ, who provided Lynne with exceptional care in her 6-week struggle with Legionella pneumonia and its complications. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Lynne to: Department of Development, 13400 East Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85259, note: In honor of the Intensive Care Unit Staff, or visit www.mayoclinic.org/giving-to-mayo-clinic

Lynne is survived by her husband, James Giordano, children, Melissa and J.D., and two grandchildren, August and Orion. She is also survived by her brother, John, several nieces and nephews, two Aussie Doodles - Maggie and Max, and many dear friends who were like family. Her positive impact will live on through all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and boundless love.
