Lynne Caldwell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
Virginia "Lynne" (Burgess) Caldwell, 85, of Tucson, Arizona, a devoted Mother and pillar of her faith community, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. A private celebration of her life was held the following morning.

Lynne lived an extraordinary and blessed life. She was a fabulous pianist and organist, enjoyed walks in the sun, reading a great book, sharing a cup of coffee with friends, and above all else spending time with family.

Throughout her life she took great pride in serving others. She was an elementary school teacher, a daycare provider, a dedicated Christian Scientist, a PTA president, and the most generous, patient and loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother (Mimi).

Lynne grew up in Fairborn, Ohio, and went on to receive a BA in Education from Miami University. At Miami she met the love of her life - Bob. Bob and Lynne had an amazing marriage of nearly 40 years, and saw them raise a family that took them from Fairborn, Ohio, to Traverse City, Michigan on Duck Lake, and finally to Tucson, Arizona under the sun and mountains. In Tucson, Lynne operated a home daycare business, Lynne's Little Lambs, for over 20 years which provided a safe and loving home for infants and toddlers.

Lynne's warm hugs and bright smile will always be remembered, and her sincere expressions of unconditional love, her trust and obedience to God, and humble and joyful heart will be cherished and handed on to future generations from all those she touched.

Lynne is survived by her four children - Chris, Rob, Andy, and Emily - her beloved 10 grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews, and her sister Carol.

In lieu of sending flowers or donations, give a heartfelt hug to someone who needs it.
