Life-long local resident Mrs Mary Margaret Richardson (92), of Sutton, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at St Mary's Church, Sutton.
Born at Sutton, Mrs Richardson was educated in Mansfield at the Brunts School and Miller's Business College.
Mrs Richardson had worked as a personal secretary to one of the directors of Bairnswear, Nottingham, until 1940 when she left to look after her family.
She enjoyed Cordon Bleu cooking, dressmaking, going on cruises and travelling abroad with her late husband in their motor home.
Mrs Richardson, who died at her home, leaves one daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mills), Mr and Mrs M. and C. Heathcote, Mr and Mrs A. and S. Simpson, Mrs L. Smith, George Smith; Ms E. Benfield (representing Mr P. Beardall); Mrs M. Johnson (representing Mr C. Johnson).
Floral tributes were from the immediate family. Donations were received from family, friends and neighbours.
The service was conducted by Mrs S. Oscroft, organist was Mr J. Dunn, and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons Ltd.
