Madeline G. Jones 'Chub' Mrs. Madeline (nee Goedecke) Jones, 80, died on May 3, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Notre Dame Church, North Caldwell, N.J., on Saturday, May 6, at 11 a.m. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, proutfuneralhome.com, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona, N.J., on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Born in Glen Ridge, N.J., Mrs. Jones was raised in Upper Montclair, N.J., and moved to North Caldwell in 1968. She was the bookkeeper at F.X. Jones Associates, Inc. in Caldwell, N.J. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Mercier Club in Upper Montclair, the Glen Ridge Country Club, the South Hampton Golf Club and the Upper Montclair Country Club. She was also a longtime member of the Notre Dame Parish Community, serving as a Eucharistic minister and with the Bereavement Ministry. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her husband, Francis X. Jones, Sr., and her son, Francis X. Jones, Jr. She is survived by her children, Christopher, Madeline J. Koos, Maureen Culhane (Don), Julie Caples (Mike), and her loving grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Samaritan Hospice, 265 Route 73 South, Voorhees, N.J. 08043 would be appreciated.
