Madison Torres Obituary
AGE: 16 • Boonton
Madison "Madi" Torres,16, died unexpectedly on October 20, 2015. She was born in Denville and was a lifelong resident of Boonton. Madison was a student at Morris Catholic High School where she played volleyball and softball and was a member of the school stage crew. Madison was also a member of the National Honor Society for Science and the Pro Life club. As a parishioner of the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Boonton, Madison was an Altar Server and Eucharistic Minister at the Saturday evening Mass. As a member of the Franciscan Mystery Players, Madison was a participant in the reenactment of the Passion of Christ at various churches.
Madison was the beloved daughter of Jeffrey and Geraldine Torres dear granddaughter of Mildred Schmidt, Madeline Abreu and Wilfred Torres, cherished Goddaughter of Rich and Eileen Metzgar. She also is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Madison was predeceased by her brother Richard Dominique Metzgar and her grandfather Wesley Schmidt.
The Funeral Mass for Madison will be celebrated on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Boonton, NJ.Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton, NJ. Morris Catholic High School will host a reception immediately following the funeral. Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 4-7 PM ONLY at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Letters of Condolence may be posted to www.Danglerlewisandcareyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that donations be made to rachelschallenge.org, in memory of Madison Torres.

my daughter Alyssa showed me the post of Madison and I remembered having her on the PTE team back in 2013 as her coach/manager. She was a great kid and I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. That season was one of those seasons that my daughter enjoyed. The team got along really well and all were very good players from what I can remember. She will be missed, I'm glad to have had the pleasure of coaching her and getting to know her.

Madi was such a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her smile could light up a room.
