I was about to connect with her practice in order to make an appointment to see her when I came across this obituary. I am stunned. What a wonderful woman she was. I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Pham passing. I was a patient of hers for a couple of years and I remember what a kind caring person she was. May she rest in peace.

My Sincerest Condolences! I had no idea, she saved my life in 2010, emergency surgery for a blood clot.
I need to see her again, and came across this. I am absolutely stunned, and so very very sorry to her family and friends.
❤ May she rest in Paradise...
I’m so sad..

Always wanted to surprise her with a phone call or visit. We knew each other from Baylor University, such crazy memories from back then. She will be missed by many that have crossed her path.

I trained below Mai at Baylor College of Medicine. She was my "senior" resident (she was only 1 year ahead of me in training!), showing the gullible intern what it took to care of trauma patients. I truly wish I had the opportunity to tell her what an impact she had made on my career. She was caring but stern. Humerous but kind. And most of all, I was happy to find a surgeon that was shorter than me! She was a role model, teaching me that in a medical world that had a long legacy of training style and regimen, that I could make this my own and learn to appreciate every experience, happy or sad. Mai...you have no idea what impact you made on me.... the memories and events we shared... thank you for being here... arigato...

I have been a patient of Dr Pham since April 2011, when I had to have an a/v fistula put in for hemo-dialysis treatment. That fistula worked so well that she tied it off and removed the aneurysms this past April because it was taking blood from my hand! This could only be done because I have a successful transplant. I had no idea she was battling her own medical demons until I received a letter from her office about her cancer. I of course hoped she would beat it.
Now she is gone too soon. It's not fair for a fine surgeon with an excellent reputation who was kind and compassionate to her patients to be taken so soon. It's not fair to her family and loved ones. I will always remember the vibe in her Edmonds office - young, upbeat, fun, compassionate and professional. May her legacy continue for many years in the medical practice she created.

From the very first day I met you, you were warm and friendly, and always smiling, always taking time to ask how I was doing, and actually caring.... all the way to your last days on this Earth. You were such a genuine person, and I will miss our talks, texts, and laughs. I am so thankful that I got to visit and see that beautiful smile one last time.
You will forever be missed

Dr. Pham was my husband's vascular surgeon in 2012 at Swedish/Cherry Hill. He passed away unexpectedly during the surgery from a heart attack. Dr. Pham was incredibly kind to me when notifying me of his passing. She came to me with her team and explained to me that he wasn't aware of what happened during the surgery and did not suffer. She patiently answered all of my questions. She told me to contact her if I had any questions later. She was compassionate, empathetic, and went above and beyond. I will never forget her kindness. Ever. She was not only a wonderful doctor, but a loving human being. I am very sorry for her partner and family that they have lost such an amazing loved one far too soon. My heart is with each and every one of you.
