Manuel Carrillo

Funeral services celebrating the life of Manuel "Manny" Carrillo, 60, of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at The Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, in the All Faith Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Manny died Thursday, March 3 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Manuel Carrillo was born July 26, 1944, the son of Leo and Georgia (Salas) Carrillo, in Davenport. He was united in marriage to Julie Spears in 2000.
Manny was a motorcycle enthusiast, avid TV watcher, and loved mowing his lawn, but his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his grandchildren and having his family and friends gather to talk about his adventures. Memorials may be made the family.
Survivors include his wife Julie Carrillo, Davenport; son, Travis Prescott, Moline; step-son, Dan Jasper, Sioux Falls S.D.; step-daughter, Angela Wagner, Davenport; grandsons, Roman, Jesse, Dyllan, and Aiden; his sisters and brothers, Wanda (Miguel) Serrano, Davenport, Rosita Berrea, Davenport, Juanita West, Park View, Jesse (Rachael) Carrillo, Moline, Hank (Cora) Carrillo, Davenport, Leo Lopez, Bettendorf, John (Betty) Carrillo, Davenport, and Frank (Sheila) Carrillo, Davenport; as well as two sister-in-laws, Cathy Johnstone, Davenport, and Paula (Robert) Flores, Ft. Riley, Kan.
