July 24, 1952 – March 25, 2011
Manuel Moreno passed away peacefully Friday, March 25 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his wife, children and family. Manuel loved spending time with his family, granddaughter, and friends. He enjoyed bar-b-ques and had great pride in keeping up with his yard. He loved watching vintage movies like the 3 stooges, mash, but also watched programs like 60 minutes.
Manuel is survived by his wife Irma G. Moreno of Le Grand, Son Manuel Moreno Jr. of El Paso Texas, Daughters, Monica Moreno, and Rebecca Moreno both of Le Grand, and granddaughter, Madelyn Angeline Moreno. Brothers, John Moreno of Merced, Tony Moreno of Planada, Albert Moreno, Gabe Moreno, Paul Moreno all from Merced, Concie Moreno of Cathy's Valley and Danny Moreno of Atwater. Sisters include, Dolores Valdez, Mary Moreno, Lupe Arce all from Merced and Terry Garcia from Le Grand, also various nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 1 – 5 pm with an evening rosary service at 5 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Plainsburg cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, CA.

Waiting at heavens doors
Death beckoned him with a outstretched hand and whisperd softly of a unknown land, but he was not afraid to go for though the path he did not know he took deaths hand without a fear for God who safely brought him here had promised he would lead the way into Eternitys bright day...For none of us need go alone into the valley that is unknown, but guided by our Fathers hand we journey to the promised land ....He was your special loving husband....and Father...you guys shared your lives with one another and you'll find comfort for your grief in knowing his death brought sweet relief for now he is free from all the suffering and pain ....you know that his love is with you still for he loved you in life and always will...love like his can never end because it is the perfect blend of joy,and sorrows,smiles, and tears that just grew stronger with the years...love like his can never die for his taken it with him to the sky ...so think of Manuel as living above no farther away than your undying love ...for now he is happy and free once more and he is waiting at heavens door.
