Marc-Andre William LeClerc, also known as The Clerk, was born on June 8, 1993, in Banff, Canada. He passed away on December 1, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Marc-Andre was a vivacious, spunky, and driven individual, with a passion for adventure and exploration.

Marc-Andre had a successful career as a professional mountain guide, helping others navigate the breathtaking landscapes of nature. He also worked as a dishwasher, showcasing his dedication and versatility.

In addition to his career, Marc-Andre pursued higher education and achieved a Ph.D. from Cornell in Indo-European linguistics, showcasing his intellectual curiosity and academic prowess.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Marc-Andre had a wide range of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved skiing down the slopes, immersing himself in the pages of a good book, knitting intricate designs, and conquering challenging climbing routes.

Marc-Andre is survived by his father, Rick, and preceded in death by his mother, Samantha. His family and loved ones will remember him for his vibrant spirit and zest for life.

A ceremony to celebrate Marc-Andre's life will be held on Monday at the Wee Blew Inn. Contributions in his memory can be made to the American Alpine Club, a cause close to his heart.

Lindquist Mortuary in Syracuse, Utah, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
