Marc Hinton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 1 to Nov. 4, 2022.
Marc Hinton, 66, of Sellersburg, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 31, 2022. Marc was born on January 3, 1956, in Louisville, KY to the late Ralph and Anna Mae (Regan) Hinton.

Surviving are his sons Chad (Amy) Hinton and Dustin (Hilary) Hinton, brothers Bradley (Melissa) Hinton and Allan (Brenda) Hinton, grandchildren Regan, Jillian, Lauren, Clare, and Boston, and ex-wife and best friend until the end, Julie Hinton.

If you met Marc, he probably made you laugh out loud, so much you may have cried. Humor was one of his superpowers. He could be serious but believed taking things too seriously often led to trouble. His humor seeded his relentless optimism in the face of life's ups and downs. He had a passion for music and Waterfront Wednesdays, Colts football, thrift shopping for vintage items, and Amy's chocolate chip cookies. His most potent superpowers were his unconditional love and rock-solid support of his family.

At Marc's request, he will be shot out of a circus cannon with confetti. Just kidding. He wanted to leave you with one last smile. He requested no services and left special instructions for his family to celebrate his life. His remains will be cremated.

Marc and his family are grateful to:

I did not have the honor of knowing Marc in person. But the way h8s son Dustin spoke about his dad let me know what a wonderful man he was. Thoughts and prayers to the family he loved so much.

One of my fondest memories of Mark was with the Pekin 7. We probably had the best food booth that was ever at the Pekin Parade. Until they ask us not to come back. There loss.

My prayers are with Marc's family. Marc and I worked together and we became the best of friends. He gave me the nickname Rhonda J and called me that the entire time that I knew him. He truly was one of a kind. He kept me laughing and we shared a love of music. I will forever be grateful for his friendship, his talks and his laughs. He truly was a great guy. It sadness my heart to hear of his passing. I will continue to pray for his family.

Marc was a great Dad and Pop. He always had a smile and a joke to ensure a good hearted laugh. He liked to "discuss" current events by the pool and was so very proud of his grandkids. All my love, hugs and prayers to his family as they walk this difficult chapter.
