I am just now hearing about Marc's passing and I am in shock to say the least. I worked with Marc at Avis for many years and kept in touch with him for a few years after he left Avis. Regardless of how much time passed Marc always had time to chat on the phone. I will miss his wit, discussions about family, past and current work, our practical jokes played on our colleagues and each other but I will sincerely miss Marc as a friend. My condolences to the family.

Marc was a passionate leader who helped those he worked with reach their full potential. Working for Marc was always challenging and rewarding. I often think back to conversations with Marc where he shared his personal and professional experiences to offer a different point of view. Marc had a positive influence on so many, and I've very fortunate to have worked with him.

Marc was everything you wanted in a human being - dedicated to his family, willing to help his colleagues and employees, and always kind to everyone he met. I'm saddened by his passing but hopeful that everyone he touched will reflect on how he made our lives better.

I was lucky enough to have worked for Marc at BostonCoach. He was one of the best bosses I could have asked for and I always looked forward to our frequent conversation. He often spoke about his family, how proud he was of his sons and how much he admired his wife Phyllis. Marc touched many lives and mine is better having known him. My sincere condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Marc was a mentor, a friend and a truly great person. He not only took the time to get to know individuals on a professional level but he also took time to get to know individuals on a personal level. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children and family.

Marc exemplified kindness, intelligence, integrity and class. In our earliest encounters we spoke as much about the importance of family as we did about business. My deepest condolences to his family at this most difficult time. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you today and that Marc will be remembered fondly as he left an indelible impression upon those whose lives he touched.

There are very few people in life that impress us both professionally and emotionally. Marc was one of them. He was my friend and the best partner and leader possible at work. His dedication and passion for our industry was unparalleled. Not one day would go by without him focusing on ensuring satisfaction for everyone, from the chauffeurs and employees to the clients and all our partners. He perfectly understood and constantly promoted fairness and value to all. Marc was extremely modest despite the fact that his immense talent and dedication impacted not only BostonCoach but the entire livery industry. We all owe a lot to Marc.
My heart is extremely sad as I remember Marc and think of his lovely wife Phyllis and his boys. Thank you Marc.

I admired Marc and enjoyed working closely with him over the last 8 years at BostonCoach. He was always upbeat, ready to tackle any task with enthusiasm and had a very positive outlook. He was one of the most supportive managers that I have had in my career and heart felt condolences go out to his wife, two sons and extended family and friends.

I was fortunate to work with Marc for the past 8 years. He was always willing to go the extra mile and provide unconditional support. However my true fortune was having Marc as a dear friend. We loved discussing our families and the boys growing up, his admiration for Phyllis and her amazing strength. We often prayed together for his health and talked about a celebration of his recovery. My heart is broken to lose such an amazing person and dear friend. My thoughts, prayers and sympathy to his entire family. May you find peace and strength in each other and know that the love and kindness that Marc shared with each of us through the years will always be treasured.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel at the loss of such a wonderful, caring and supportive person. Marc hired me in 2011 to support his territory and from the very first day, he was always willing to assist me with anything. He was a remarkable leader and I thoroughly enjoyed following his strategic path. He will be missed.

My prayers go out to his family.

Marc was a very special friend. I was fortunate to have known him over the past 8 years. We started as professional peers and then over the past 4 years became the closest of friends. I will always cherish the weekly calls we had during our long commutes and he had a special way of motivating me to tackle any challenge in my life. His sense of humor was just what I needed to lift my spirits after a long tough week. I know how important his family was to him as he talked about the joys that spending time with his boys brought him. He always encouraged me to be a better father to my sons as well through his experiences. My heart and prayers go out to the Martine family.

Having worked with Marc, I got to see what a special man he was both professionally and personally. Mostly was his interest in my family and the level of pride and love he had for his. A light would cross his face when talking about his sons. My heart is heavy knowing that he was taken too soon from us. I can only hope that his family can take some measure of peace knowing what a positive influence he was for all of us. My sincerest condolences and I will keep you in my prayers. Be at rest Marc.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Martine family. I worked very closely with Marc for many years at BostonCoach. He was a leader, mentor and friend. To be able to call a person all three of these things tells you how extra special he was. His presence will forever be felt. It is my sincere hope that his sons, wife, dad, sister....have some peace in knowing how he touched so many lives in such a very special, unselfish way. Always willing to give of his time and knowledge to help anyone who asked, and even when we did not ask, he knew and offered. Sleep well and be peaceful my dear colleague and friend. You will be missed. Very fondly, Ann Marie Douglass

I've had a lot of bosses in the past, whether they were direct or indirect. Although Marc was both during my time at BostonCoach, his demeanor didn't change when my work relationship with him changed. Out of all the previous bosses I have had, Marc was one of the best. Invested fully in me professionally and personally. Completely understood a work life balance and actually forced me to balance more when he thought I needed to spend a little more time with my boys. He will be missed by all. My condolences to his wife and his children and all of his relatives and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
