Margaret Carroll Beaubouef

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, Margaret Carroll Beaubouef, 91, born January 5, 1932, in Glasgow, Scotland and resident of Alexandria, Louisiana, sadly passed away in her son's home in Plaquemine, La. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and more. She was considered one of the matriarchs of the Beaubouef Family. Margaret lived a life of faith, loving everyone and every book she could get her hands on. She was a wonderful storyteller who gathered generations around her. A lively woman until the end who made sure her opinions were known and her nails painted. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Belton (Ray); two sons, Gary (Stephen) and Anthony (Tony); father and mother, James and Agnes Carroll; siblings, Theresa, Anna, Agnes and James. Those left to cherish Margaret's memory are her sons, David and James (Andy); her daughters- -in- law, Judi, Theresa, Debbie and Miho; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; her sister, Helen Brown (Tom); sisters-in-law, Eva Beaubouef, Marilyn Sayes, Marie Carroll and her brother-in-law, Irby Beaubouef. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces and countless friends. The family would like to offer special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and her special care giver Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria at 10am, March 25, 2023, with the Very Rev. Craig Scott and Rev. Antony "Raj" Dharmaraj officiating.
