Margaret "Maggie" Dehn, age 90, of Blencoe, IA, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Premier Estates in Onawa, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 6, 2012 at Blencoe United Church of Christ with Pastor Linda Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa. Maggie was born July 8, 1921 at Blencoe, the daughter of Lewis and Lillian (Taylor) Hogue. She was raised in the Blencoe area, graduating from Blencoe High School in 1942. After high school graduation, Maggie attended the Lutheran School of Nursing in Sioux City. She worked as a nurse for many years at numerous facilities, including the Onawa Hospital, Dr. Garred's Clinic, Dr. Gaukel's Clinic, and as school nurse at East Monona. Maggie was an active member of the Blencoe United Church of Christ where she served on the Memorial Committee and as a Sunday school teacher. She also served as a Brownie leader and was a member of the Women's Fellowship Club. She is survived by one son, Randahl Dehn of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Janet (William) Joyce of Chicago, IL, and Jayne (Dennis) Vaughn of Winterset, IA; five grandchildren, Matt Dehn, Bryan Joyce, Brenden (Dana) Joyce, Jessica (Chad) Leeper, and Emily (Travis) Federsen; six great-grandchildren, Joseph Joyce, Kelsey Pollard, Ellie Paisley, Addi Joyce, Lucy Leeper, and Stella Federsen arriving soon; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Diz" Dehn; her parents; a grandson, Billy Joyce; a brother, Larry Hogue; and an infant brother, Elbert Hogue.
