Margaret Lloyd Hofsommer, 97, of Florida, died April 14. She was the widow of Carl W. Hofsommer, who died in 1986.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Richards Lloyd, she was a graduate of Technical High School in Scranton. She was a member of the Green Ridge Primitive Methodist Church, a longtime member of the JOY Sunday School class, the church choir for many years and the Women's Guild. Prior to retirement, she was employed as bookkeeper at the Green Ridge Bank for several years, and also at Harper and Row Publishers Inc.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon and husband, Ron, Clarks Green; and a son, Brian and wife, Charlene, Florida; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Shafer and Thelma Brownlee.
Private funeral services will be conducted from the Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home at the convenience of the family. Interment, Shady Lane Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green Ridge Primitive Methodist Church, 410 E. Market St., Scranton, PA 18509.
