Margaret Mendoza Obituary
Margaret was born on September 6, 1935, in French Camp, California, to Jose and Micaela Cruz. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ygnacio "Nash" Mendoza, as well as her brother Manuel Cruz and her parents.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her children-Joseph Mendoza (Debra), Julie Hunt (Cliff), Renee Terry (Jeff), Laura Moore (Clint), and James Mendoza (Tina)-were a source of immense pride and joy for her. Margaret was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Courtney Mendoza (Kylah), Joseph & Mikaela Mendoza (Truitt & Adley), Joel & Serena Servin (Emma, Jett, Nash), Tyler & Kelsey Servin (Kennedy), Andrew & Nicole Mendoza (Leila, Theodore), Lance and Nathan Terry, Aaron Mendoza & Lisbeth Garcia (Levi), Miranda & Eric Hanna (Isaiah, Leah), Michael and Josh Amaral.
Margaret worked for the Merced City Schools District as a Teachers Aide for 23 years in the Special Education Department. She will forever be known as "Ms. Doza" to her students. She touched many students lives.
A woman of deep faith, Margaret was an active member of the Catholic Churches of Merced. Her devotion to her faith guided her throughout her life and provided comfort to those around her.
A viewing will be held on March 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 459 W. 21st Street in Merced.
A Funeral Mass will be held on March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St Patrick's Church - 671 E. Yosemite Ave. Merced, CA.
Burial will follow at
Calvary Cemetery
260 W Childs Ave
Merced, CA 95341
Margaret's legacy of love and faith will live on through the generations she nurtured. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
