PORRECA
MARGARET A., 94, of Ocean City, NJ passed away, May 7, 2011 in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she had lived in Drexel Hill, PA and summered many years in Ocean City, NJ before moving here in 1974.
Mrs. Porreca was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School and St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing.
She was Past President of St. Agnes Hospital Alumna Association and a former member of the Ocean City Colony Club.
She had worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Agnes Hospital and in New York before going to work for the American Red Cross where she had worked for over 20 years before her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Albert L. Porreca, Sr. in 2007.
Surviving are her children: Dr. Joseph A. Porreca of Drexel Hill, PA, Camellia P. Rubino and her husband Louis of West Chester, PA and Dr. Albert L. Porreca, Jr. and his wife Karen of Ocean City; also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Dr. Louis Rubino, Jr., Mark Albert Rubino, Albert G. Porreca, Julia Ann Dattilo, John A. Porreca, Dr. Gregory J. Porreca and Dana Porreca, 11 great grandchildren: Angela Porreca, Stephanie Porreca, Matthew Rubino, Annamarie Rubino, Christina Porreca, Abigail Rubino, Maria Dattilo, Natalie Rubino, Giovanna Dattilo, Christopher J. Rubino, Joseph W. Porreca, one great great granddaughter: Lillian Skiff and a sister in law: Glorita Maida of Wayne, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church, 2nd Street at Atlantic Ave., Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from 10 o'clock until time of mass.
Burial will follow Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
The Family Suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to either St. Frances Cabrini R. C. Church, Ocean City, NJ 08226 or Villa Raffaella, 917 South Main Street, Pleasantville, NJ 08232.

Mom-Hope you and Dad are enjoying each other!!! We will miss you but we will remember all the happy times in Drexel Hill, San Antonio and Ocean City. We were a very blessed family. You and Dad took such good care of us. Love always, Mille
