Mrs. Waters was the daughter of Mr. Willie Harley Sr. and the late Mrs. Lela Mae Kelly Harley and stepdaughter of Mrs. Mary H. Harley. of Florence County SC.
She was educated in the Florence County Public Schools, Wilson High School Class of 1961.
Mrs. Waters was a member of the Southern Calvary Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk for over 30 years, President of the Gospel Choir for 30 years, deaconess and also served on numerous auxillaries as a member and as a leader.
She was employed by the Yopp Manufactoring Co until her health failed. She is survived by a loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Deacon Buford Waters of the home; 5 Children, Norris L (Loraine) Harley, Harriett J. Wates, Melvin Y. Waters, Terry M. Waters, Carol W. (Nathaniel) McCoy of Florence; 23 Grandchildren; ! Gt. Grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nine Brothers; 4 Stepsisters 6 Stepbrothers; 6 Sisters-in-law; 2 brother-in-law; 1 son-in-law, John H. Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive members and friends at the home 510 E. Roughfork Street Florence.
