Margie "Punk" Glasscoe Obituary

Margie "Punk" Kennedy Glasscoe, 89, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at her residence.

Margie was born in Davidson County, January 26, 1929, a daughter of the late Fred Otis Kennedy and Cornie Robbins Kennedy. She was a bookkeeper with Electric Supply and Hughes Supply for many years. Margie was a former treasurer with the Hasty Fire Department and an E.M.T. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Lucille Glasscoe and Joyce Glasscoe Craven; two sons, Homer "Buddy" Glasscoe, Jr. and David Alan Glasscoe; and two brothers, Clayton and Rodney Kennedy. Margie's greatest enjoyment were reading, sewing and cross stitching. She was a faithful member of Pilot View Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Elsie Sands and Ineta Elliott and husband J.P.; two daughters in law, Brenda Glasscoe Hedgecock and husband Michael and Dianne Glasscoe Watterson and husband David; four grandchildren, Scott Glasscoe, Terry Glasscoe and wife Wendy, Brad Glasscoe and Jeffrey Craven.

A Celebration of Margie's life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bob Summers. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Pilot View Baptist Church, 7173 Prospect Church Rd., Thomasville, NC 27360 or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262. Special thanks to Dr. Anthony Bleyer at WFUBMC and to a special niece, Gwen Harris and her husband Reid, for their loving care of Margie.
