Jessica and Jeremy, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I met Maria through my friends Jim and Rita. Maria was always so cheerful. She is now in the hands of our lord, and there she will be very well taken care of.

I worked with Maria at MidAmerican many years ago. She had the most wonderful sense of humor and her laugh was infectious. I've thought of her often and was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with you all.

I haven't seen Maria in years, but have thought about you. Just recently talked about you and wondered how you were. I am so sorry that I had to find out about you in this manner.
We worked together at Fireman's Fund Ins Co and I saw you go through so much as you struggled to overcome the death of Danny Jo, the divorce of your parents and your asthma. It was a tough time. I will pray for your family and take comfort in knowing you are in a peaceful place now.
My heartfelt sympathies to Maria's family. God Bless You!
Sincerely,

My heart goes out to Maria's friends and family - especially the kids....we hadn't been close in the past couple of years, but when we'd talk it was always as if we'd just seen each other the day before. I will miss her laugh and her gift for loving life no matter what curves were thrown at her.

Maria-I remember walking around McGlaughlin Circle, looking for Billy, and Mike, and Mark. I remember playing kickball and "Red Light Ggreen Light" and "Mother May I," with you, Lenny, Danny and Stevie. Chantel was too little, but she was there! My family (the Kohel's) lived right next door to the Eberle's on Calhoun Street and we played together every day. I remember swinging Danny Jo around in a circle. He loved it when I did that. I remember all the guys in the neighborhood thought you were so cute, Maria! I wish I would have stayed in better touch and could have been there for support, as I am a breast cancer survivor! I will walk in your honor this October, as will all my family. I know you will be missed, and I my prayers will be with your family and your children. Give Danny a big hug for me. I am sure you two are looking down on all of us with smiles on your faces...no more pain. Love, Lisa Kohel

Maria, You were the best friend I ever had and I will miss you so much. You always knew how to cheer me up and make me laugh. It does not seem fair that you could be taken away so suddenly, but I truly believe you are with God and Danny in heaven. I will continue to pray for Jessie, Jeremy, and Jarod, that they can somehow move on and find happiness, and if they need me I am here. I will always love you and cherish my memories of you.
