Maria (Marliese) Elisabeth Ellis

Maria (Marliese) Elisabeth Ellis , 78, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Kirchzell, Germany. Maria worked as a Food Service Manager with St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and children and traveling. She worked for many years in the hotel business in Canada and in the States. Maria and her husband of 49 years moved to Ft. Wayne in 1977 where she taught CCD at St. Charles and later became the Food and Beverage Manager at the Marriott. Surviving are her husband, Denis Ellis of Fort Wayne; son, Noel (Beth) Ellis of Cypress, CA; son, Stephen (Lana) Ellis of Wasilla, AK; grandsons, Sean Patrick Ellis and Benjamin Francis Ellis; and sister, Olivia (Manfred) Schmiedgen of Bad Rappenau Germany. Maria was preceded in death her parents; Wilhelm and Pauline Kunz. Mass of Christian Burial is Monday June 25, 2012, 10:30 am, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling one hour prior and Msgr John Suelzer officiating .Calling also at D.O.
