Dear Nonie, You were an exceptional woman. You took me under your wings and took me in when I needed a place to live. You also opened your arms and held my baby as if she was yours. Thank you and I will be forever grateful for that. You have taught me valuable lessons throughout the years and thank you for that as well. I've learned to be a strong and as resilient as you. You cared for so many and you will never be forgotten. Love always Sandra

Please do not delete my post, as this is how I will honor my grandmother.

Farewell with love to a very special person. I could talk to Mary for hours about old-time Boston, and remember the twinkle in her eyes and smile when she told stories. She had a great sense of humor too, and lit up the room. God Bless and Thank You for the fond memories!

Nonie, you were the BEST! As a little girl, I’ve watched you take on several challenges, and you beat them all. You were a strong-resilient woman who didn’t take crap from anyone, not even at eighty-eight years old. I thank you for that, as I’ve learned from you. You were the perfect example of “Don’t Tread on Me.” Although, you were tough, I saw the genteelness and beauty within your loving soul. REST IN PEACE MY SWEET NONIE.

Auntie Mary I am so sad today because I lost one of my favorite Aunts and my mom and dad were always close to you and Uncle Warren. I know that you are not suffering no more but I am selfish and wish you were still here with us you are the only thing I had left that was attached to my Dad. I remember all the times I use to call you Saturday morning to save me a seat at Bingo and if I did not get their early you use to yell at me. LOL and when I use to come home for a visit I would always come and see you and Uncle Warren and made sure to come over on Sunday to have your some of Sunday dinner that I was so use to growing up and when I moved back in 2008 to take care of my parents I use to go over to visit with you all the time. I also remember the times that you use to come over to our house playing cards and I will never forget when Nonnie was still with us and her playing cards with her was so comical with you my dad and nonnie yelling at each other. We always had fun when we would get together. It is sad that the last picture that I do have of you is scratching a scratch ticket that we bought for you at your 88 birthday party. Please say hello to my mom and day and Uncle Warren. I loved you so much Auntie and you will be dearly miss.
