LAWRENCE — Maria A. SanAntonio, 43, of Lawrence, passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1984, and Bowdoin College in Maine, Class of 1989.
Maria had lived in Nevada and California for many years prior to relocating back to Lawrence. She was most recently employed by Beyond Trust Company in Portsmouth, N.H. In California, she worked as a volunteer rape crisis counselor and participated in a communty theatre group. While in Nevada, she was involved with the Wildlife Sanctuary as a volunteer tour and information guide. Maria was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and niece, who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed and cherished by all who knew her.
Maria is survived by her parents, John J. and Rena C. ( Roy ) SanAntonio of Lawrence; sisters, Lisa Aloisi and her husband David of Townsend, MA and Rena Rudy and her husband Dennis L.Jr. of Hudson, N.H.; nieces and nephews, Michael and Gabriella Aloisi and Jonathan and Olivia Rudy and her aunt and godmother, Arline Roy of Lawrence. There are also several cousins and her cherished cats Smokey and Lucky.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 in St. Patrick's Church, Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made in Maria's memory to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830, or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I volunteer at the MV Haverhill Hospice House on Saturdays and would see all of you there taking wonderful care of her. I know how much she will be missed. God Bless you,
