Maria Vera Obituary
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Abel A. Vera of Corpus Christi; son, Alfredo Vera of Corpus Christi; mother, Elena G. Lopez of Kingsville; sister, Priscilla Bookman of San Antonio, Texas; and two brothers, Jesus Lopez of Houston, Texas and Manuel Lopez of Flint, Michigan.
Rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.

I'm so sorry to hear about Millie. I worked with Millie at Coles when I started my teaching career. I could always count on her to make me laugh and to share her ideas/strategies with me. Your family is in my prayers.
