MARIBEL GRAVES Obituary
She was born Sept. 2, 1922 in Bowling Green, Ind., the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Cullen) Vicars.
She married her best friend, Robert H. Graves, on April 8, 1939 in Covington, Ky.
She was a member of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union and a former member of the Eastern Star. Maribel was owner of Shield's Bootery in Urbana. She was known for her delicious potato soup, as well as her Chocolate Cream pies, Coconut Cream pies and divinity candy. Maribel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family, her church, her community and served them all faithfully during her lifetime.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Melanie) Graves of Vandalia, Richard (Donna) Graves of Cable, Yvonne (Max) Woodruff of Urbana, Linda (Scott) Cosby of St. Paris; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Graves Martin, Kay Vicars, Nancy Vicars; brother-in-law, Donnie Brown; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Maribel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert H. Graves; daughter, Carolyn (Graves) Trout; sisters, Rose, Jeannie, Peg, Sue; brothers, Max, Ted, John, Bill and Bobby.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, 235 Miami St., Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor David VanHoose, Pastor Carl Ogden and Pastor Mike Grable officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1101 N. Main St., Urbana, OH 43078 or a charity of your choice.

I would like to extend my condolences for the loss of your beloved family member. She will be greatly missed. It is comforting to know she is sleeping peacefully in death as mentioned at 1 Thessalonians 4:13. She is awaiting the time when God's Kingdom will bring back paradisaic conditions right here on earth by means of his Kingdom in which we pray for in the Lord's Prayer.
