Marie-Beth Borman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 22, 2025.
"Allow the light and the healing presence of Christ to shine brightly through your lives. In that way, all those who come in contact with you will discover the loving kindness of God."

- St. Pope John Paul II

Marie-Beth Borman (nee Anastacio), 51, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on July 29, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She was born on September 11, 1973, in Cavite City, Philippines to Amado C. Anastacio, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Asuncion Anastacio.

Marie was married to John Borman and was the devoted mother to Elizabeth. She had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She was often spending her spare time researching topics of interest and reading books. Marie greatly enjoyed traveling and loved hopping on a plane to explore new places. She loved driving and never turned down a good road trip.

Marie was never scared to take on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity. She had very strong values and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to her infectious smile and positive energy. Marie had incredible patience and always made time to help others. She would often say it all comes back to us.

Marie is survived by her husband, John, and daughter, Elizabeth. Her memory will be cherished by the Anastacio family: her father, Amado; siblings Tina Lawhorn of Markham, Virginia; Louise Anastacio of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Paul Anastacio of Lawton, Oklahoma, and their families. Marie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Elizabeth. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Although Marie's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Let us remember the past with gratitude, live the present with enthusiasm, and look forward to the future with confidence.
