DROUILLARD-SANNES Marie Jacqueline ("Jackie") Albertine, R.N.Passed peacefully after a courageous struggle with cancer, into eternal life July 23, 2008 in Surrey B.C. in her 67th year, with her loving husband, Alf, at her side. She will be sadly missed by her children Alf Robert Sannes, Eric Sannes (Maggie), Karen Rilkoff (Jack), Christine Sannes, Keith Sannes, Per David Sannes, sister-in-law Gerd Carpenter, as well as her special 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Suzanne Drouillard, Andrea Van Wezel (Leo), Michael Drouillard (Nora), Yvette Drouillard, and Vincent Drouillard (Mercedes). She leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. Jackie was predeceased by her loving parents Norman and Corinne Drouillard and in-laws Alfhild and Sverre Sannes, as well as by her sister Denise Drouillard and brother-in-law Vincent Carpenter. She had a special love for her kitties Sweetie, Pinky and Pumpkin. Jackie touched the lives of many and had an array of friends from all walks of life, especially Anne Toupin, Eileen Garvey, Debbie Zimmerman and the "Montreal Group". Jackie's 40 year nursing career brought her to serve in many community hospitals in Windsor, Montreal, and Vancouver, dedicating herself in nursing, compassionately caring for others, making a difference in the lives of everyone she met and lovingly called "Mother" by all nurses at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Surrey where she worked for 27 years. Memorial Mass in memory of "Jackie" will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Surrey B.C. In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that donations be made to the Building Fund of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Parish (Surrey B.C.) where she was an active member, to Laurel Place Hospice (Surrey Memorial Hospital), or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Our thoughts are with Alf and family. We had the oportunity of being Jackie's neighbour and we will miss our chats with her across the fence. I will miss all the advice she gave to me on my gardens when I needed it.

To Jackie's family; Jackie used to baby sit for my younger sister Wendi and brother Bill. She and I would make fudge!! So happy to know she had such a large family and so many grandchildren. Prayers with you all.

"Do not be dismayed at goodbyes, for goodbyes are necessary before we can meet again."

We weren't ready to say goodbye to you Jackie and we will miss you and think of you until we meet again. (I will tell you all my Kamsack stories then...)
Our love and prayers are with you and your family.

I would not be the person I am without Jackie in my life. My love for her will never end. Her love and understanding that she always gave to us will carry on for the rest of our lives and because of her our family can pass her love on through all of us.
Rest in Peace

Very sad indeed to hear of Jackie's death. We are old friends from Montreal days and she called me with news of her cancer only about 2 weeks ago. We were off to Ireland for a wedding and I promised Jackie I would visit her when I returned. Unfortunately that was not to be as she passed away the day we returned from our trip. We (especially I) have great and wonderful memories of Jackie during the years we shared an apartment in Montreal. I still have beautiful wine glasses she gave us for a wedding present in Vancouver 1970. My husband remembers Jackie as an exceptional good cook as she prepared many wonderful dinner parties. This message is long, I could go on and on - so sorry we were not able to connect again. She is in our prayers and I am sure will watch over each one of her family from a special home in Heaven.
My sympathies to Alf and family and to her brothers and sisters in Windsor. Only a few weeks ago, she was telling me of her days in Windsor when her parents passed away and a younger sister. Please know we share in your sorrow, but also know that Jackie was a special lady and my good memories keep my heart warm. Love to all of Jackie's family. Joan and Kevin Murphy.

I am deeply saddened with the loss of Jackie. I had the pleasure of being their neighbour and friend, and they became like a 2nd set of parents for me. I cherish the times we had planning and planting her garden with various rhodos and perrenials which was her pride and joy...My deepest sympathy goes out to Alf and his family
