Marie Stella M. Jenc, age 83 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 18 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Sauk Centre Seniors will pray at 4 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 5 p.m. and Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Marie Stella Jenc was born February 14, 1924 in Meire Grove, Minnesota to Hubert and Mathildes (Boeckers) Ley. On September 21, 1943 she married Raymond Jenc at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple farmed near West Union until retiring in 1981. From 1983 until 1995 they resided near Fairy Lake in Todd County, then resided in Long Prairie, and moved to Sauk Centre in June of 1996. For the past two years she had resided at Getty Street Assisted Living.She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the Sauk Centre Seniors. Survivors include five children, Kenneth (Delores) Jenc of Elrosa, Paul (Donna) Jenc of Long Prairie, Phil (Paige) Jenc of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Arnie Jenc of Sauk Centre, and Carol (Alfred) Kral of Osakis; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Jenc on December 21, 1996; son, Chuckie Jenc in 1956; grandson, Jeffrey Jenc in 1989; brothers, Herman, Servulus, Herb, Harold, and Donald Ley; sisters, Cyrilla Friese, Colette Doubrava, and Betty Bieringer. Serving as casket bearers will be Steven, Wayne, Brian, Pamela, and Cindy Jenc, Rodney, Ben, and Matt Kral. Cross bearer will be Amy Wielenberg. Honorary bearers will be Michelle Kortan, Melissa Welle, Annette Fischer, Angela Gregory, Brenda and Darla Boyer, Christi, Mary Jean, and Wendy Jenc, and Loriel Boemer.
