HAVERHILL — Marie R. (German) Thibault, 80, of Haverhill, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Frank W. and Jane (Amirault) German and lived here all of her life.
She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and St. James High School.
She was a lifelong member of All Saints Parish and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was employed as a stamper at Lucent Technologies in North Andover for 27 years, retiring in 1985.
Always available to give her time, she volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul thrift shop, and local soup kitchens.
She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, sewing and knitting.
She leaves her beloved husband of 61 years, Raymond J. Thibault of Haverhill; a son and daughter-in-law, Rene M. and Jacqueline M. Thibault of Chester, N.H.; two daughters, Jane M. and her husband William W. Sullivan of Plaistow, N.H., and Kathleen A. Brown of Haverhill; brothers, Frank W. German of Tingley Park, Ill., Donald German, and Robert and his wife Charlene German, all of Atkinson, N.H.; sisters, Lorraine Lang of Plaistow, N.H., Dorothy Goulet and her husband Henry of Haverhill, and Helen Busa and her husband Sam of Bradford; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Norman and Richard German.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call today, Dec. 27 at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte. 125), Haverhill, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA 01832.
