Marie C. Welsh

Marie C. (nee Mellon) Welsh passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2015.
Born in Phoenixville, PA, on June 30, 1927, Marie was one of seven children of the late James and Catherine (nee Boyle) Mellon. Marie was a resident of Collingdale for 57 years. In 2007, she moved to Egg Harbor Township, NJ, to live with her daughter Kathleen. Marie was a loving homemaker and devoted spouse whose greatest joy was to spend time with her family. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed gardening, music, and fashion. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. Welsh; her son, Michael; her great-granddaughter Marie and her brothers James Mellon and Paul Mellon.
Marie is survived by her devoted children, William J. Welsh, Jr. (Pat), Diane Murdock (Steve), Kathleen Nunzi, Patty Imbriglia (Vincent); Loving Mom-Mom to Charlie Roberts, Brian Welsh (Carla),Colleen Nicolai (Anthony), Amy Welsh (Nate Mitchell), Tim Welsh, Steve Murdock, Jr. (Lilia), Kathleen Hamel (Matt), Laura Nunzi, Ray Michael Nunzi; Cherished by seven great-grandchildren: Brianna, Jimmy, Madeleine, Emma, Stevie, Katy, & Michael. She is also survived by her siblings, Trudy McGrane (the late Tom), Helen Uhrik (the late Andy), Bill Mellon, (Terry). Theresa Heritage.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, 8:30 AM, O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road, Springfield PA 19064, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Holy Cross Church, Springfield, PA. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
